Structured for kids aged 8 and up, groups such as Guides, Pathfinders, Cubs and Scouts will talk on ham radios and learn all about early communication history, including decoding a Morse Code puzzle.
Fun for kids aged 5-8, groups such as Sparks, Brownies and Beavers play dig up old artifacts and learn about their importance for the future. Indoor and outdoor slots available, depending on weather and time of year.
Receive a leisurly tour of the museum while dicussing what you see with your group. Afterwards, socialize with tea and biscuits.
Structured talks are accompanied with lots of hands-on experiences with a bit of free time to explore at the end. Topics include the Tragedy of the S.S. Florizel, the History of Mount Pearl, and Early Communications.
