Operated by the Society of Newfoundland Radio Amateurs (SONRA) our amateur radio station is an official Marconi site. Using the WW1 callsign of H.M. Wireless Station Mount Pearl, our callsign is VO1 BZM. This station gives other amateur stations from around the world the opportunity to contact this historic callsign as well as special event signs such as VO1 RMS for the R.M.S. Titanic or VO1 MZL for the S.S. Florizel.

Structured for kids aged 8 and up, groups such as Guides, Pathfinders, Cubs, Scouts and Cadets can talk on ham radios and learn all about early communication history. At the end, decode a Morse Code puzzle! To book your group, please call 748-1124.

CICQ Tourism Radio 92.3 FM is a low power station that is broadcasted right here at the museum. It can be received locally and hosts a selection of tourist information about Mount Pearl. Tune in to hear our Stories from The Florizel series, in which Garreth McGrath reads from the journals of those who were with her on some of her historic voyages.
